Funny Five Fringe Questions

Australia’s Crown Prince of Comedy, Joel Creasey, is back bitches! And he is making his Garden of Unearthly Delights debut at this year’s Adelaide Fringe Festival in his latest show, Poser. In 2016 Joel charged on to stages across the country for sold out shows and to rave reviews. In between whoring himself across Australian TV screens from deep within the African jungle to comedy galas, panel shows and celebrity interviews he managed to squeeze in packed houses for his stand-up in New York, Montreal and LA. Most recently Joel was crowned Comedian of the Year at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, after losing on an episode of All Star Family Feud. Swings and roundabouts! Every year Joel’s live show audiences grow as punters in the know flock for an hour of no-holds-barred belly laughs. The 26-year-old has cemented a reputation for slicing, dicing and smashing through celebrity and pop culture, and himself, with unflinching candour and brutal home truths. Creasey cuts through celebrity spin to tell you how it is with charm, irreverence and the ultimate payoff of epic laughs. Here, Joel tells it like it is for our Funny Five Fringe questions: Describe your Fringe show in five words. “Sexy, hot, steamy, erousing, awkward.’’ When is the last time you really laughed? “When I remembered I haven’t adhered to any of my New Year’s resolutions yet. I’ll start next year.’’ What song makes you happy and why? “Burn by Jessica Mauboy. Because it really just sounds like she has an STD and should see a doctor stat.’’ What should everyone try at least once in their lives and why? “Bikram yoga. So they know never to do it again.’’  If you could write a horoscope for your time at the Adelaide Fringe 2017, what would it say... “People will love you. In particular one very wealthy man, who will propose and then soon after die… leaving all the money in his will to you.’’ Joel Creasy in Poser, Adelaide Fringe Festival, The Garden of Unearthly Delights, Vagabond, Friday, February 17 to Friday, February 24.
